With the markets continuing to react in unpredictable ways, how can investors have any true conviction? MARKUS SCHOMER, CFA Managing Director, Chief Economist PineBridge Investments, New York Mr. Schomer joined the firm in 1996 and is a Managing Director and Chief Economist of PineBridge Investments. He is responsible for developing economic forecasts, analysis, and market commentary for all investment groups within the firm. As a member of various investment committees, Mr. Schomer is involved in developing the firm’s broad portfolio strategies. Mr. Schomer is a frequent contributor on CNBC, Bloomberg and other media outlets. Previously, Mr. Schomer worked at the firm’s London office, where he also managed various fixed income portfolios and as a fixed income analyst at Commerzbank in Frankfurt, Germany. He holds degrees in economics from the University of Bonn in Germany and the University of East Anglia in the UK. He also studied at the London School of Economics. He is a CFA charterholder.
