Insight

Introduction

Please join us on 9 February to hear from Insight’s Hannah Ni Riain, Solutions Designer, and Thomas Donohoe, Investment Director, for a discussion on Liability Driven Investing for Irish pension schemes.

Liability driven investment strategies have helped trustees better manage funding-level volatility. However, recent events in the UK have highlighted the multi-faceted risks and challenges trustees face in the management of pension schemes. Sharp equity falls, large yield rises and increasing allocations to illiquid assets combined to create both significant opportunities and significant risks.

This discussion is designed for delegates with varying levels of LDI knowledge and experience and will cover the story so far, LDI fundamentals, lessons learnt from the recent period and what happens next.

CPD

This event has been allocated 1 CPD hours by the IAPF for on-going trustee training requirements. We have received 1 CPD hour from the LIA (LIA15612_2023), the IOB (2023-1726) and the IIPM, under Category 3. Savings & Investment. If you have a query relating to the CPD hours, please contact the relevant awarding bodies.
