Introduction

Constructing value – the case for Infrastructure Debt

Developing infrastructure is one of the great global challenges of the 21st century and investment in infrastructure is critical to maintain economic growth and deliver essential services to the public.  For example, the Irish Government is set to announce a new 10 year capital plan in early 2018, which will set the path to support the economic growth of the country where infrastructure investment will be front and centre.  This provides a significant opportunity for Irish institutional investors to consider investing in infrastructure debt, with the potential to offer long term, stable investments with an attractive risk/return profile.  This session will provide an overview of why we believe infrastructure debt is an increasingly attractive asset class for investors and the scope to source these opportunities across Europe.
