Simon Bentley of BMO Global Asset Management will explain the benefits of Liability Driven Investment (LDI) and how it works in practice, covering the key investment tools used as well as the risks and how they are managed.
We will walk you through the different portfolio structures that can be used to implement LDI in a pension fund, highlighting the pros and cons of each. Finally, we will discuss the idiosyncrasies of the Irish pensions market to help trustees identify some of the decisions they will need to take when setting a strategy designed to reduce their liability risk.
