Understanding Transfer Values
Transfer values can fluctuate significantly over time, influenced by factors such as interest rates and changing in value as retirement age approaches. This session will explore when taking a transfer value may be beneficial, the key considerations for members and trustees, and the factors behind the recent increase in transfer activity.
Emma Goggins, Actuary, WTW

Mandatory retirement ages
Recent changes to the rules on mandatory retirement ages have important implications for employers, trustees and pension schemes. This session will help trustees unpack the legislative changes, understand the potential impact on scheme administration and member benefits, and identify any governance, policy or communication updates that may be required.
David McKeating, IAPF Council, Eversheds Sutherland

Pension Rights for co-habiting couples
This session will examine what the Jones case may mean for the pension rights and treatment of cohabiting couples and the potential implications for pension scheme trustees. It will highlight the key considerations for trustees and areas where existing scheme practices may need to be reviewed.
