Omar Slim, CFA, Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Asia Fixed Income, PineBridge Investments, Singapore

The Asia Investment Grade credit market offers higher yield and is less interest rate sensitive than similarly rated developed markets, making it one of the most defensive fixed income investments in emerging markets. This asset class, with a current market cap of over US$1trillion,  has served as a valuable diversifier for investors seeking to expand their opportunity set while benefiting from a relatively low volatility.

Omar Slim, portfolio manager at PineBridge Investments, will provide an outlook for the asset class, focussing on the latest trends impacting the market.  He will cover how best to navigate both the opportunities and risks presented by the asset class and explain how Asia Investment Grade credit could act as a strategic and valuable allocation for institutional investors in a rising rate environment. Omar will also outline how PineBridge manages ESG Objectives and sustainability risks.

How is Russia impacting your Investments?
