Who we are

Established in 1973, the IAPF represents  Irish pension savers. Our members are responsible for some €115.8 billion (end 2016  figure) in retirement savings in Ireland.

For our members, we seek to educate,  represent and inform with a view to achieving secure, fair and simple  retirement provision.

We provide education to our members  through our events and trustee training courses. We represent members' interests  at all levels by active lobbying of Government, the Pensions Authority, the Revenue  Commissioners, the Social Partners and other relevant stakeholders. We actively  publicise issues through the media and also act at European level though our  membership of the Pensions Europe. We keep our members informed of any  developments that affect them in their role of looking after pension savings.

What we do

IAPF provides a wide range of services  in education, representation and information:

  • Strong representation
  • Research & Policy proposals
  • Regular updates on pension developments
  • Educational events
  • Guidelines & publications

We believe that all of these services  provide significant added value to each member. One of the real benefits of  IAPF membership is the ability to access a huge network of schemes and people  who are involved in improving retirement provision in Ireland.
